About
A finance community for Uppsala University.
Our story
Uppsala Finance Society was founded in 2026 on a simple conviction: one of Sweden's oldest and largest universities deserves a finance community worthy of its ambition - open to every student, regardless of programme or faculty, and built to last.
UFS was founded by three students who believed that curiosity about markets, investing and finance shouldn't be confined to any single programme or campus. We set out to build a genuine, university-wide community where ambition is the only requirement. We host events, invite speakers, run workshops and create space for both the curious newcomer and the seasoned analyst.
We are independent, non-profit and democratically governed - and we are just getting started.
Vision
To be the home of finance at Uppsala University
Mission
To build a commmunity where students can develop socially, intellectually and professionally - around a shared passion for finance, investing and the capital markets.
Our values
Five principles.
Meritocracy.
Engagement and progression should be earned through ambition, competence and effort - not informal networks.
Openness.
UFS is built for both newcomers and the more experienced. There is room for every level of interest.
Professionalism.
From external communication to internal governance, we hold ourselves to a high standard.
Community.
UFS is more than a finance society. It is a social and intellectual community where members build friendships, confidence and a stronger professional identity.
Ambition.
We set high standards for what a student finance society can be - in the quality of our events, the strength of our network and the opportunities we create for our members.
